Players By the Sea presents the first mainstage show of the year starting tonight at 8pm in Kennedy Theatre. You are cordially invited to the ghost play "The Lady Aoi.".

Suspended in a restless sleep the Lady Aoi lies on the brink of death in a hospital. Her young husband Hikaru- disturbed by her mysterious illness- discovers that he is not her only visitor. His jealous ex-lover, Yasuko appears to have become a late night regular at Aoi's bedside. Written by one of Japan's most famous and passionate writers, Yukio Mishima, The Lady Aoi crackles with sexual tension, dark energy and hidden aggression.

SSU's AIDS Quilt Contribution



Professor Clara Aguero's students contribute to the AIDS quilt. Founded in 1987, The AIDS Memorial Quilt is a poignant memorial, a powerful tool for use in preventing new HIV infections, and the largest ongoing community arts project in the world.The quilt was shown in Savannah at the Bull Street Library in April 2009. Thanks to all of you and especially to the Ms. Schell of the Union Mission, Professor Aguero, HIV Student Peer Educators and Dr. Gentry.
